I can’t figure out how to make the crow sit on the skeletons shoulder, or how to make the moss and mushrooms grow from the skeleton rather than around it!

If you're going to pursue refining your concept, there are a couple of things you could tweak quickly and without dumping a ton of credits on this one piece.
Maybe try adding "lichen encrusted", (fungal growths:1.0) , (crow familiar: 1.0), and bumping the skeleton descriptor up to (mossy humanoid skeleton:1.0) - at the top of the prompt. Maybe add "dark fantasy", "DND style artwork" or "GOTHIC" as a descriptor, especially if you prefer to not use artist names in the prompt.
The AI doesn't care about grammatically correct sentences, so you could probably get away with simplifying down to "moss and mushrooms on bone".
Very cool, even if it's not what you were going for.
