My wife watched the first couple of episodes with Ruby Sunday and said: "They're trying to do another Clara". She was referring to both the character and the story arc. Looking back, I think she was right. Sadly it didn't quite work, but that was RTD's fault and not Millie Gibson's. I think her best episodes came in the middle of the run with Boom, 73 Yards (where she was excellent) and Dot & Bubble. Besides all of that, this is an outstandingly good portrait of her. š
