From the Narnia books by C. S. Lewis, here is Reepicheep, Captain of the Talking Mice. The big white feather refuses to attach itself to the brim of his hat or to curl at all, and his tail seems more appropriate for a cat than for a mouse (is the algorithm having its little joke with me?) but otherwise he is much as I imagined him.
