In Dracula, Jonathan Harker's carriage ride to Castle Dracula is a terrifying experience that involves a number of frightening events: 

Harker is surrounded by a ring of howling wolves with red tongues and shaggy hair. He yells at the driver to hurry, but then sees the driver standing in the road.
