Photoréaliste de la Vallée Blanche, Chamonix_032_v

Whether visiting Chamonix for the first time or returning to the land of Mont Blanc, visitors are invariably captivated by the beauty of the landscape and the panoramic views that unfold before them—both in the town itself and up in the mountains. Indeed, wherever you are, Chamonix offers a multitude of mountain vistas, and you will be amazed by the world-renowned Chamonix Valley. From the various squares in the town center, you can admire the entire massif—starting with Mont Blanc itself, which is pointed out by the statue of Jacques Balmat (located in the square bearing his name), who achieved the first ascent of Europe’s highest peak in 1786, alongside the Swiss naturalist and physicist Horace Bénédict de Saussure.
