Eldjotnar 2

Most eldjotnar can create flames of about 800 C. Many eldjonar also practice high or low magic, or theurgy. They are eternally young, and very difficult to kill, especially with their firestorm active. Melee attackers would be burned to death before they could reach the eldjotnar. Arrows and most bullets would be vaporized or melted before they could reach the fae. They are immune to mundane poison and illness. Bullets with steel cores could reach them, but would be softened by the heat and have a hard time penetrating their supernaturally hard skin. Tungsten core ammunition is the cheapest way to injure them without magic. While they are immune to heat, they are not immune to shock waves. The trick is getting the explosive close enough to affect them since most explosive weapons would detonate or burn away when they encounter their firestorm.
