Pupshadow

Lore & Behavior: Pupshadows are known to linger at the edges of children’s dreams or in the corners of abandoned streets. They giggle faintly like distorted Saturday morning cartoons, feeding on fear by stalking rather than striking. They act playful, but their games often lead prey into dangerous situations — getting lost in alleys, tripping into ditches, or freezing with terror. Some folklore says they’re “born” when abandoned pets or cartoons fade into obscurity, taking form as living shadows yearning for attention.

Combat Traits:

Playful Terror: Prefers ambushes involving distorted laughter and sudden shadow leaps.

Rubbery Limbs: Can stretch to make melee attacks from up to 10 ft away.

Fear Eater: Gains temporary HP when a creature fails a Wisdom saving throw against fear.
