Isengard is a mighty fortress located in the valley of Nan Curunír, surrounded by a ring of towering black stone walls. At its center stands Orthanc, a tall, indestructible black tower made of smooth, unbreakable rock. Once a beautiful and lush place, Isengard was originally a stronghold of Gondor before falling under the control of Saruman, who corrupted it with forges, machinery, and armies of orcs and Uruk-hai. It became a symbol of industrial power, treachery, and Saruman’s ambition to dominate Middle-earth.
