She's proud of her necklace because she made it herself from materials that she's excreted. Being a somewhat variable plant, this isn't a tremendous accomplishment. But being a girl? Well, most girls can't excrete resin. O. And that used to be a white blouse.
Ok, Ok! Red and green are kind of her colors! Black is a wee bit problematic, at least as a dye.
Hildegard is a really nice girl. Usually. Unless you trigger her self-defense mode or threaten someone she loves. Then part of her "forgets" its humanity. This might not be readily apparent in her behavior. (Carnivorous plants can be such subtle and patient predators.)
