The Controllers (Stage 3 - Host Domination)

Behavior:

Primary Goal: Locate survivors and assimilate them by spreading parasites. Controllers act as mobile “hives” for new Spawn and can command Infiltrated hosts in their vicinity.

Abilities: Fast and highly intelligent, Controllers are agile and capable of tracking players. They can communicate with other infected, organizing ambushes or controlling The Infiltrated to act as scouts. Controllers also emit a high-pitched sound that disorients the player momentarily, making escape more difficult.

Weaknesses: They’re highly resistant to blunt damage but are vulnerable to armor-piercing weapons or coordinated attacks targeting specific exposed areas. Loud, sudden sounds (such as explosions) can interfere with their control over Infiltrated.
