Bonegrin was once a well-respected warrior named Grinnis Stoneblade, known for his sharp wit as much as his skill with the sword. He led a battalion during a catastrophic siege, holding the line against impossible odds to protect his homeland. After his death, his name became legend, but fate had other plans for Grinnis.
A necromancer, fascinated by the warrior's reputation, raised him from the dead centuries later, but not as a mindless soldier. Instead, Grinnis’ soul, bound to his skeletal remains, found himself in the form of a skeletal barkeep in the necromancer’s hidden tavern, which catered to all sorts of beings—living, dead, and everything in between.
