Ukiyo-E Totoro

One of my ideas for ukiyo-e but I knew others had done the same so I decided to do Darth Vader instead as I have seen some cool art of Darth Vader relaxing with tea/on holiday done in ukiyo-e style...

Of course that idea has tanked totally because how DARE I not make a "nice stereotypical Japanese ukiyo-e" image, right?

The inherently racist assumptions about what has to constitute ukiyo-e is kind of hilarious if it wasn't so deeply problematic and ingrained in how NC is run.

Non-Japanese people deciding what is and isn't acceptable Japanese art and culture is one of the worst things about this platform.
