Several hours had passed without anyone speaking a word because they had been too busy to pull random books from their shelves without anything happening. Ashildr had wandered off into another corridor and had lost sight of Anubis. Still, she thought, this was a library - it was so quiet they would not have trouble finding each other again.
She had been flipping through random books, hoping to find a clue to this puzzle. Above, at least there had been statues, busts, pedestals, some obvious places to hide a secret trigger. How should you find one random book in a library that seemed to defy space and time?
When she ran her fingers over yet another row of books, the tome she had fastened to her belt rustled slightly.
