The machine, doubling down on ships, made this mad, magnificent, mess of rigging on 'roids.

And yet, mistakes notwithstanding, it somehow captures the feeling of the mooring yard: the details are all wrong but the vibe is right.

So embrace the rigging that looks suspiciously like cob-webbing, or perhaps folded gossamer wings that when spread would, in fact, carry the ship aloft.


About this project: 

We wanted to see what an artist might have produced given only a quote and a few contextual hints. In most cases we generated a single image to see how well the machine's dreams captured some meaningful aspect of the text.
