Southwing Ryker / Sister Asp: reference art

Southwing Ryker was an employee of a company heavily involved in questionable biological research. Her former boss resuscitates her as a chimera.
Normally, in superhero genres, a character with wings would be able to fly. The chimera known as Sister Asp can't fly. However, her wings would help in running, leaping, and swimming. And steep gliding.
There are a few things in my original character concept there aren't in this image. For instance: why she'd be called "Sister Asp" isn't as clearly visible in this portrait as I would like it to be.
