Klaus Nomi's black and white space fashion had lead to a space oddity directed by Robert Mapplethorpe. In it, Nomi plays an evil captain of a space ship who wants to blow up the sun.
The reason, why I can't show a film still with his all-male crew is, that he's the only actor dressed in the entire film. At all.
The soundtrack does not only feature Nomi's own work, but also the up and coming space songs of the New German Wave, including several songs by DAF, DÖF's "The Flying Schissel" and Peter Schilling's "Major Tom".
When it transpired that Nomi wouldn't live to see the premiere, he devised that this trippy masterpiece should premiere at the time of it's story - 50 years into the future. Thus, it will premiere at Cannes in 2031. The public wouldn't be ready for it before that anyway.

Not created for, but submitted into a Black And White Image challenge. First it rated very good. In the end however, the mainstream downvoters took over and elevated mostly clearly the usual NC challenge-winning content color pictures set to black white to the top places. All real black and white artwork got downvoted. This one here landed on 25th place out of 27, the last to be actually black and white, but also with several other pics getting higher places that weren't fully black and white even. This is getting ridiculous. I'm avoiding more and more chat rooms, because it doesn't make sense for anyone to take part in the games who isn't submitting flowers, crystal dragons and fluffy kittens. A black and white game, I thought, likeminded gamers like I who appreciate black and white art, were for once among themselves. But of course not. Today and yesterday two other hosts suspendet their chat challenges because of fradulent challenge participants plus massive downvoters. Hallelujah
