In hospice care after a stroke robbed her of her speech, Rhea had a social worker record her for nearly an hour as she blinked the message. An astrobiologist, Rhea was stricken after her husband, Commander Pierce Gregory Borealin, vanished in 2029 as he tried to rendezvous with a curious object passing near Earth. Three years passed before Now felt ready to view the video clip, and only did so after the words 'Connect To Me' appeared to her in a vision.
The message contains sets of three numbers—a riddle Now will manage to solve when she realizes her mom’s initials—‘RGB’—match the abbreviation of a coding system used to form colors by combining values of Red, Green, and Blue.
