Dehydrating near the asphalt on a hot, arid southern Colorado summer day, the little black kitten made her way to the weeds for some shade. The loud cars zooming by terrified her as she crawled her way to safety. Suddenly, a canvas bag with some wet food appeared before her. Is it for her? She staggered her way close as a human hand nudged her inside. Moments later, she was inside of a cool house with food and water a plenty. Her matted fur, torn off in patches, was wiped clean by another human. She'd been placed into her furrever home.
