Flux PRO v1.12x
Iesus Nazarenus, Rex Iudaeorum
Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews
Beneath the Cross of Jesus
Author: Elizabeth Cecilia Clephane
Verse Four
I take, O cross, your shadow
For my abiding place;
I ask no other sunshine than
The sunshine of his face;
Content to let the world go by,
To know no gain or loss;
My sinful self my only shame,
My glory all the cross.

Jesus on the Cross: Baroque Style Religious Scene
This image shows Jesus on the cross as a Roman centurion gazes up at him. Mourning friends form a semi-circle around the cross, set against a dark sky. The scene is reminiscent of baroque painting with dramatic lighting and emotive expressions.
