A Boggart (also called a bogey, bogeyman, bogle, or bugbear) is a term used to describe a creature in English folklore. It is generally a household spirit that has turned malevolent, trickster, or mischievous, often in the form of a goblin-like creature. The name is derived from the Welsh "bwg".
