**N. C. Wyeth** (Newell Convers Wyeth; 1882 – 1945) was a painter and illustrator from the USA, who was a luminary of the *Golden Age of Illustration* in his country, renowned for his evocative and dynamic artworks. Wyeth's art style, characterised by bold brushwork and dramatic compositions, captured the spirit of adventure and heroism in his works. Using oil painting and tempera techniques, his illustrations continue to inspire audiences with their timeless storytelling and vivid imagery. He was a student of Howard Pyle and part of Pyle’s movement, the Brandywine School. Later, he became one of the most famous illustrators in the USA and was associated with the Realism and Romanticism movements.
