“Glare of the Lantern Eyes” is Rosemary the Cassowary’s most haunting and mystical ability. 🔥
Here’s what it means in her lore:
• 🌕 Supernatural Vision: Her glowing orange eyes shine in the rainforest darkness like lanterns. They let her see clearly even through mist, shadows, and dense undergrowth.
• 🌀 Paralyzing Gaze: When she locks eyes with an intruder, the eerie glow can stun or disorient them—almost like a trance brought on by fear or fascination. Smaller creatures might freeze in place, unable to look away.
• 🌫️ Fear Aura: Her eyes also create an atmosphere of unease; the glow flickers through the mist like distant firelight, warning that she’s near. Many creatures flee before she even appears.
• 🌟 Symbolic Meaning: The “lantern eyes” symbolize Rosemary’s connection to the mysteries of decay and the hidden life in darkness—she lights her way through rot, spores, and shadows.
