They couldn't stay in the cabin and took off through the forest. Pipper knew how easy it was to get lost in a forest when you don’t have a compass. Luckily the sun could be spotted through the canopy every now and then. They still had a couple of hours of daylight left and had to make the most of that. “How long do you think it will take us to reach Canterbrook?” Julia asked. “About three days if we would go straight and if we could use the roads”, Pipper responded. “Unfortunately, we cannot do that. We have to stay off the roads and out of sight. They will expect us to go to friends or relatives, so we must be very careful. I expect it will take us five to six days before we reach your uncle’s estate”.

Brilliant lighting by the way. Eh, if you get a good pic except Pipper is all brown, I'm sure none of us would mind - you could always say he dyed his white chin and belly with walnut leaf juice.
