Haunted Holidays – The Christmas Heist

Frost clung to the stones and silence weighed heavy on the crypt ... the crypt mice hadn't finished decorating yet. So one of them, let's call them Pip, decided to steal Christmas.
Whiskers twitching, Pip the stitched mouse dragged his loot through the snow: a silver bell, two candy canes and half a stolen fruitcake. Behind him, the iron gate groaned, as if warning him back, but Pip only smirked. Crypt mice didn’t get gifts...they took them.
He glanced at the eerie blue lantern above the gate. Its ghostly glow pulsed once, almost like a heartbeat. Pip froze for a moment, shivered and than kept moving.
Something ancient had awakened… and it was watching.
Every holiday has its ghosts.
