Jenni’s Advice

Jenni and Benji are sitting together in a tiny teahouse, just around the corner from the famous Stonewall Inn. Here, Jenni shares her insights with Benji, warning him against the typical New York rush. Paris is best explored on foot. She urges him not to try to see everything at once, but rather to pick one arrondissement to visit each day. She suggests avoiding restaurants in the immediate vicinity of major attractions (like the Eiffel Tower or the Louvre), as they are overpriced tourist traps. Instead, she recommends smaller, more tucked-away bistros around the Canal Saint-Martin or in the Marais district. Jenni emphasizes the fundamentals of French courtesy, noting that saying "Bonjour, Madame/Monsieur" upon entering a shop or café is essential in the eyes of the French. She also warns Benji about pickpockets on the steps of the Sacré-Cœur and on the metro. Meanwhile, Benji looks at Jenni with sincere and utter admiration.
