I was struck by how powerfully these darker emotions could be expressed. The grief of a family experiencing tragedy, the horror and helplessness of War, the Unconditional Compassion that is poured out upon one another when the pain is too great. The bond between sisters, between mothers and daughters, between females in general feeling eachother's sorrow through empathy. There is much happening right now that calls for these Goddesses that allow us to cry, to rage, to keen and wail, to laugh and scream, and after all of it, to find relief in the unique capacity of a woman to Love.. And if you have just one woman to love you in life, these Goddesses will show you Mercy.
I'm hoping that in time, I will be similarly inspired to summon the power of Gods into art, to showcase how Masculine hearts and strength can bring our struggles to victorious resolutions.
