Serket was a goddess of ancient Egyptian mythology associated with the scorpion, often depicted as a woman with a scorpion on her head or holding a scorpion. According to myth, Serket was one of the four goddesses who protected the canopic jars that held the internal organs of the deceased. She was also known as a healer and protector, and was believed to be able to cure scorpion stings and other poisonous bites. Serket was often depicted as a fierce protector and a powerful force against evil. Her worship was widespread throughout ancient Egypt, and she was often associated with other goddesses such as Isis and Nephthys.
