Boris Vallejo

Boris Vallejo (1941 – ) is a Peruvian illustrator and artist, who is known for his fantasy and science fiction art. His work, often tinged with eroticism, is known for its hyper-representational style and meticulous attention to detail. Vallejo’s art often features muscular and heroic figures, fantastical creatures, and vibrant colours. His preferred artistic medium is oil on board, and he has previously used photographs to combine discrete images to form composite images. Preparatory works are pencil or ink sketches.
