Well, they’re announcing the casting for the Sunrise on the Reaping movie, and they’ve just recently revealed the kid who’s playing Wyatt. He’s Asian. The problem with that being that Wyatt is described as a “human calculator” (very skilled at math), has strict parents who have forced him into a certain career, and is quiet and reserved. All of a sudden, the Internet is angry at THE AUTHOR OF THE BOOK for writing a stereotype, and talking smack about the character, not realising that his canon description suggests Mediterranean or Middle Eastern, and this is entirely on the casting director.
