There is a line in the poem “Music for Strings from Shu” (蜀國弦) by the poet Li Ho (李賀) that reads 誰家紅淚客. This could be translated “A beautiful girl weeps crimson tears…who is she?” I’m not entirely sure why my recent prompts are producing so much dark fantasy imagery, but I kinda like it….
