A colossal sea-dragon surges from the abyss, armored in rows of sealed, shield-like scales no spear or blade can pierce. Its back is a ridge of jagged plates, its belly dragging through the deep like a living stormfront. From its nostrils pours smoke as from a boiling cauldron; from its mouth bursts flame, sparks, and burning vapor, making the waters churn white beneath it. Its eyes glow like the first light of dawn over black waves. Around its neck dwells terrible strength; fear goes before it like a herald. It laughs at arrows, stones, hooks, and chains, thrashing the sea into foam and leaving a shining wake behind it. Proud, untamable, and ancient, it moves like a king over all monstrous things.
