organic line

Nice combo with a bit of a Japanese aesthetic. Both artits are about elaborately detailed open line but with generally dark muted palettes. I wonder how this would look blending some soft colour gradients in primaries. Ukiyo-e/Katsushika Hokusai is obvious but would likely stay fairly muted and probably lock you too much into classical Japanese themes. Yoshitaka Amano might gel well here and lift the palette, or even Tamara de Lempicka (late in the list). I've also seen some really nice results with Alphonse Mucha and Virgil Finlay in a similar mix. Mucha's soft gradient colour fills and clean line seem to be pulled out fairly cleanly when combined with artists with a muddier or monochrome palette and more 3D narrative composition.

Great illustration technique!
