This ExoTech model is slightly heavier than their generally more agile units, but it's still more agile than most mecha in its weight class, and very well-armored on top of that. The Arcturus is known for the distinctive shield created specifically for use with it; the shield was modeled after the Greco-Roman pelta. The pelta shield design offers great coverage for greatly reduced weight; this was the key innovation that let ExoTech retain their trademark agility in this model.
The Arcturus is armed primarily with its lux blade, as ExoTech designed it for melee combat. It also has a microwave cannon and explosive armor panels on its shield. The shield is capable of deflecting a 120 mm tank shell if the explosive panels are active and the shield is held at an oblique angle; this is partly because the shield is somewhat thicker in the center than it is on the rim. The average human's height comes up to just above its knee.
