Thank you, that’s what I aim for in a portrait, that living focus. Apparently there’s a particular point in the process of morphing a face from human to animation, where people almost universally agree the subject is not a living thing, or that there is a brain behind those eyes. It’s in our dna to differentiate between an animate or inanimate object.
