Getting Ready for March

I hadn't realised that (according to Google) it's a Serfrican expression, possibly derived from a Zulu folktale about monkeys who wanted to marry.  The officiant lion, being lazy, promised that he would do it next time it rained while the sun was shining.  According to the story, the monkeys tricked him by climbing into the tree with a gourd of water, and pouring it out in front of the lion.

I'm not particularly confident that any of this is authoritative, as there are apparently similar expressions involving trickster animals or characters from other parts of the world.

Whatever the case, most Serfricans will be very familiar with the expression.
