THE LADY OF THE GREEN KIRTLE (Day 18 of 20)
"The long green train of her skirt thickened and grew solid, and seemed to be all one piece with the writhing green pillar of her interlocked legs."
— C.S. Lewis, The Silver Chair
The Queen of Underland stands in her subterranean stone palace beside a roaring fireplace, shedding her beautiful human guise. Her elegant, poison-green kirtle seamlessly thickens and morphs into the shimmering, coiled scales of a massive emerald serpent. Thick, enchanting smoke weaves through the gothic chamber as her deceptive charm gives way to cold, reptilian malice. An atmospheric tribute to one of Narnia's most mysterious and sinister villains.
