It was inevitable that more technically advanced countries would 'discover' other lands and take their version of civilisation and culture to other peoples. But it was a pity that there couldn't be a gentle integration between cultures and not the brutal cruel and overpowering way it was done. We're most familiar with how Europe did it but it's happened countless times when n the past millenniums, just not on the massive scale as done in the last few centuries.
