Very nice creation. BTW, I know you mentioned they were gems but I'm gonna imagine they are new color M&Ms and you can't stop me having my imagination inspired by this picture!
I think m&m's are a terrible choice for cookie inclusion because the candy coating only serves to make the chocolate harder to taste blending with the flavor of cookie.
I like the image. I just don't approve of your cookie.
