Helga Hufflepuff was a witch spun from sugared sunshine and dandelion wisps. Her laughter, a cascade of tinkling bells, danced through Hogwarts, awakening sleepy ghosts and painting smiles on grumpy animated portraits. When she wasn't instructing classes, she could often be found whipping up magical treats, brimming with confectionary whimsy.
Her spells, unlike those of the grim and grimy, were full of brightness and cheer. She'd conjure clouds of kaleiscopic bubbles that giggled when they popped and weave carpets of dandelions that whispered secrets to the wind. Her potions glowed with every shade of the rainbow, curing ailments with a swig and a burp.
Her cauldron hummed with laughter, not curses. Every morning, she'd greet the rising sun with a jig, her witchy hat bouncing atop her auburn curls, and sing spells that tickled the dew off roses and made squirrels tap dance on chimney pots.
