Day 6 - In The Jungle - Prelude to The Battle 🐒🐒

Day 6. The Battle for Territorial Control and Females

With this first image of the day, I’m sharing a sequence from one of the fiercest battles between members of the same primate species (Red Howler Monkey) in the jungles of Venezuela’s far south. In this first image, the leader of one of the warring clans (Alpha Group) takes his place at the front to assert his dominance over the disputed territory and, at the same time, warn the leader of the opposing clan that he is determined to defend that territory and his harem of females 🐒🐒🐒
