In my SWTOR fanfics, where the Light Sith Inquisitor Darth Imperius/Tarssus Kallig becomes the Outlander and is the one to defeat Vitiate, Tarssus and his sworn brother Talos Drellik collaborate on what Talos calls "conceptual soldiering" to weave a mythology of the Master of the Dead meant to deter any future attempts at essence transfer or resurrection by warning of the consequences the Master of the Dead will inflict from the afterlife upon those who try.
And indeed, after Darth Imperius is killed, this is exactly what he and his heretic Sith friends in the Light do. In my AU, when a certain Sheev Palpatine fails to heed these warnings, he learns the hard way that in his universe, there will not and never will be ANY resurrection for him.
The iconography I have always envisioned for the Book of the Master of the Dead is very heavily Art Deco influenced, and this series comes at least somewhat close to what I have in mind. This one evokes a way Tarssus himself could manifest.
A striking picture of a Light Side Sith Lord from Star Wars: The Old Republic on an Art Deco grimoire cover. The figure is shooting Force lightning in an elegant ink and watercolor style.
