I’m new and don’t know what evolve and duplicate are yet. I just know that I love this piece of jewelry and am having a hard time believing how well this thing makes jewelry ideas.. now, if it would just make it for me too I’d be a happy camper! This is awesome!

I know the feeling. I've only been doing this about 5 months AND I'm a slow learner -- age makes it hard for me to remember new things. But, I can at least help a bit.
Duplicate: recreate the exact same environment that created a particular piece. BUT, if you are duplicating someone else's work, you will get a different seed. If you duplicate your own work, you will get the same seed. That means if you make no changes at all to the environment that created your original work, then if you select generate you will get an exact duplicate. The seed is a random number that results in an almost endless variety of results when all other settings are exactly the same.
Evolve: you want to take the same piece, but make changes to it. You can accomplish that by doing a lot of different things or combining them: alter wording in your prompt(s), changing prompt weight, changing noise (how much deviation from the original image), etc.


I leave my prompts open and let people both duplicate and evolve. It's how I've been learning from others who do the same. There are also groups here that help with newbies and prompt sharing. There's also a really fantastic group on FB:
