Fantasy Plant 46: Hadean Incense Tree

This tree is found in the deepest parts of the inferno zone on Hadea. The flowers are perpetual and continually emit jets of flame. The flowers, if harvested and aged will eventually crumble to a fine reddish-orange powder. If this powder is exposed to a weak acid such as vinegar or acetic acid it will fizz up and give off extremely fragrant vapors. Inhaling these vapors causes vivid hallucinations and apotheotic experiences, including confirmed cases of clairvoyance, contact with mysterious entities, and even the physical or spiritual manifestation of strange and unknown entities. For these reasons the Church has forbidden the collection of this plant without special permission, and only for research purposes.
