Elsa had always loved the forest. It was her refuge from the harsh realities of her life as a peasant girl in the medieval kingdom of Norland.
As she reached the trunk of the tree, she suddenly heard a voice behind her.
"Hello there, fair maiden. What brings you to this part of the forest?"
Elsa gasped and turned around, only to see a man leaning against the tree. He was tall and muscular, with long blond hair and a beard.
She did not know what to say or do. She was too close to ignore him, but too scared to run away. She stared at him with wide eyes, hoping he would not harm her.
He reached out his hand and gently touched her cheek.
Elsa felt a shiver run through her body. She did not know how to react to his words or his touch. She felt flattered and flustered at the same time. She had never been complimented by a man before, let alone a handsome prince Viking.
She blushed and lowered her eyes.
