White Dire Wolf (Creature Concept)

I've heard the term "dire" used in various contexts for a more advanced or larger form of a regular creature or beast, so I figured the term would be appropriate for a larger wolf.

Apparently Dire Wolves were actually real (albeit extinct)? Well, whatever, I'm still using it more just to refer to a larger, more powerful wolf in-universe lol.

Dire Wolves are basically the "mid tier" wolves, with Werewolves being the largest and most nasty of all. Dire Wolves are the most commonly tamed wolves by Lykons. Lykons sometimes ride dire wolves as mounts, though it is difficult for bulkier male Lykons to be able ride them effectively.

The basic idea is that only Lykons have the capability of riding on the backs of wolves due to how more imprecise their movements are, but I haven't fully fleshed out this context. Even then, only the most skilled riders are capable of doing so; most Lykons still ride horseback.

Wolf riding is more common in the Valley of Jehara with Desert Wolves.
