The Dream Behind Her Eyelids

Extreme macro portrait of an adult Sleeping Beauty’s closed eye, delicate lashes threaded with cobwebs, porcelain skin marked by fine cracks. A tiny black thorn forest grows along the curve of her eyelid. Seamless double exposure beneath the translucent lid reveals her dream-self standing awake inside a ruined ballroom, surrounded by motionless dancers whose faces are mirrors. One mirror reflects the sleeping princess looking directly at the viewer. A small crimson rose rests against her temple. Hyperrealistic, photorealistic macro photography, precise skin texture, surreal scale, shallow depth of field, eerie silver light, haunting gothic atmosphere, no text.
