Margay Stalking Prey

A Margay (Leopardus wiedii) is a small, wild cat native to Central and South America. It looks similar to an ocelot but is smaller, with a more slender body, large eyes, and a long tail that helps it balance in trees. Margays are excellent climbers and are one of the few cats that can rotate their ankles 180 degrees, allowing them to climb headfirst down trees. They are nocturnal and primarily hunt birds, small mammals, and reptiles.
