If anybody out there has a cat that's really this fat or even close, PUT HIM ON A DIET! This is so unhealthy. Trust me I know. He will get diabetes, or have heart problems, or joint problems, or dieāfor all of the above.
It's really not that hard as you might think for them to go on a diet and lose weight. I went through it several years ago with a 5 year old cat who had put on about 8 extra pounds, which is a lot for a cat. His normal weight was 18 pounds.
He lost the weight very quickly on a sensible diet that was supervised by our vet. And we didn't have to buy any special cat food or vitamins or supplements or anything. We literally just gave him the recommended amount of kibble that was was on the side of the cat food bag.
You can do it. He can do it. Take care of your animals!
