Clara had been fumbling with the TARDIS’s controls for the better part of an hour, not quite revealing what she was up to.
Last time Ashildr checked, the TARDIS had been functioning quite normally (for what passed as normal with a living time machine), but Clara had been restless for some time regardless.
After the strange encounter with the Nilians, time had passed in a remarkably unadventurous way which was not its regular habit and had not definitely not been since they had borrowed their TARDIS on Gallifrey. Clara must have felt that extraordinary lack of adventure and Ashildr suspected she might start to actively search for trouble this time.

Fabulous image and storytelling. I would love to see the way time passes through Ashildr's eyes. It must be so different to Clara's, which in turn must be so different to ours. 🙏🫶
