In an alternate postwar world, Japan is part of the Pacific Alliance—until Soviet forces invade Hokkaido, triggering a Korean War–style conflict in the north.

I’m a British Army officer deployed with the Allied force sent to push them back. The fighting will be harsh—frozen ground, entrenched lines, and no easy victories.

Back home, I’m engaged to Aimi. We share a quiet life, our Shiba Inu, and plans for the future—until, just before my unit deploys, she tells me she’s pregnant.
